In order to keep an updated database of registered drivers and vehicles all over India, the Regional Transport Office was established. This government body is tasked with issuing driving licenses, vehicle registrations, keeping track of vehicle insurance and emission test certificates, and management and collection of excise duty on vehicles.
To carry out this activity, the RTO requires certain forms to be filled out, which are used for two purposes, for vehicle registration, and for acquiring a driver’s license.
To apply for a driver’s license, or for vehicle registration, it is mandatory to supply certain RTO forms to the RTO. Given below are the different types of forms that are required.
