Scania R500

Beating at the heart of Scania R500 is a Euro-IV compliant, 8-cylinder, 16000cc, Scania DC 16 V8, turbocharged motor with in-built retarder. It churns out a mammoth 500bhp @ 1900rpm, and a peak torque of 2500Nm @ 1000-1300rpm. The power gets transmitted to the wheels by a 14-speed semi-automatic gearbox, and it can sprint up to a maximum speed of 80 kmph.

Scania can transport a maximum payload of 39270 kg. It is a reliable heavy-duty commercial vehicle for transporting bulky voluminous products across the country.

Scania R500 comes with an overall length of 6713 mm, a width of 2490 mm, and a height 3593 mm. It runs on a wheelbase of 3778 mm and has an impressive ground clearance of 260 mm.

Scania R500 faces stiff competition from Scania G410, Tata Prima 4928.S, and Kamaz 6460 6X4.
