Powering the Atul GEM Cargo is a BS-IV compliant, single-cylinder, 435cc, four-stroke, air-cooled diesel motor. It pumps out a maximum power of 8 bhp and a peak torque of 21 Nm. The oil burner remains mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, transmitting power with the help of a wet multi-plate clutch.
