Tata Motors, one of India’s leading players in the commercial vehicle segment, revealed a surge in sales number by 27% for the month of October 2020 in a press release. The homegrown auto manufacturer reported a sale of 49,669 units in October 2020, in comparison to 39,152 vehicles that were sold in October the previous year.
While the passenger vehicle segment for the company saw an astonishing rise in sales by 79%, the sales in commercial vehicle segment too increased by 2% with 28,472 units being sold. This rise comes in wake of the 28,002 units that were sold in the month under review in 2019.
As per the statement, in the domestic market the company was able to achieve a sale of 26,052 units as opposed to 25,893 units sold last year. The export market also saw a significant rise by 20% for October 2020 with 2,420 units, as against 2,019 units for October 2019.
