Tata Motors, in association with Pasco Motors, on Wednesday launched the fifth Saarthi Aaram Kendra in Madri, Rajasthan. This initiative is meant for the welfare of truck drivers across India.
This program offers facilities for commercial vehicle drivers in India to better their professional and personal lives. Some of the facilities on offer include rest stops for drivers, wholesome food at canteens and dhabas, medical aid and a secure parking area.
Speaking on the launch, Rajesh Kaul, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “Truck drivers form an important cog in the wheel, keeping the economy of India moving. At Tata Motors, we appreciate their efforts and we want to prioritise their mental health and physical wellness through our initiatives.”
He further added, “After receiving an overwhelming response from truck drivers at Saarthi Aaram Kendras across the country, we are excited to open more
such centres to improve the working conditions of the drivers. We are pleased to partner with Pasco Motors to bring comfort and safety to the saarthis in Madri, an important hub for truck drivers in Rajasthan,”.
As per the company’s release, health check up camps were also set up, along with a training program for the drivers to educate them to better their health, safety and the environment.
