Eicher Motors, one of the leading commercial vehicles manufacturers, on Thursday issued its sales figures for September 2020 in a regulatory filing for their joint venture Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV). The company reported a decline in sales by 7.3% with a sale of 3,506 units in September this year. This decline comes in contrast to the 3,784 units that were sold by the company in the month under review the previous year.

Talking about its truck segment, the regulatory filing stated that the sales figures for September 2020 dipped by 49.5%, with 56 truck units sold, in comparison to 111 units sold in September 2019. For trucks and buses, the sales were down 6.1% at 3,450 units sold, as opposed to 3,673 units that were sold in September the previous year.
The company did not fare well in the international market as well, with total exports down by 4.3% at 510 units sold. This decline comes against the 533 units that the company exported in September 2019.
