Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) reported an increase in its CV sales by 19% with 5,457 units sold in February 2021, the company said in a statement. The hike in sales numbers was recorded as against the 4,586 units that the company had sold in February the previous year.
According to the statement released by VECV, the combined trucks and buses sales came out to be of 5,335 units in the month under review, in contrast to the 4,439 units that were sold in February 2020, leading to an increase of 20.2%.
Further, the company was able to see an increase in sales by up 24.5% in the domestic market with 4,825 units. VECV recorded a sale of 3,875 units in February last year domestically. In terms of exports, however, the company witnessed a decline of 9.6% with 510 units for the Eicher brand of CVs as compared to the previous year, when the export number stood at 564 units.
