In this article, we explore all about the new Tata Intra V30 and its specifications and features.

Falling under the category of Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), the Intra V30, like its other Intra counterparts, is well suited for inter and intra city travel and transportation. Staying true to the company’s ‘Premium Tough’ ideology, the truck has been developed to take on different terrains with ease. The maximum payload carrying capacity of this truck is 1,300 kg, making it a top contender in the goods delivery vehicles segment. Intra V30 will be able to serve small scale industries, and can be utilised for the transportation of FMCG goods, mineral water distribution, agricultural produce (fruits, vegetables, grains, etc.), construction material (cement bags, marble, sand, gravel, tiles, etc.), LPG distribution, plywood, etc.

Powerful Engine

The Tata Intra V30 comes fitted with a BS-VI compliant, 1500 cc, 1.5 litre Direct Injection (DI) engine. The maximum power churned out by the engine is 70 bhp at 4000 rpm, and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm. The robust engine remains mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and transmits power to the front wheels with the aid of a single plate, dry friction diaphragm type clutchplate. The truck is slated to provide stiff competition to established names in the mini truck segment such as the Ashok Leyland Dost series and Maruti Suzuki Super Carry.

Durable Build and Design

Tata Intra V30 will deliver superior ergonomics and optimum driving comfort with its contemporary fresh looks and a strong body design. The truck comes equipped with a 2690 mm long load body that makes it suitable for a host of different applications. The Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is 2,565 kg, and it has a kerb weight of 1,300 kg. It comes with a new and wider walk through day cabin with a deck body. It offers a seating capacity of up to 3 people, and has beautiful car-like interiors with ample legroom and head space. It runs on a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. Other great features in the truck include a power steering, a mobile charging point, a lockable glove box, electronic cluster and door trims.

Suspension and Braking

Tata trucks are famous for being customer friendly and an ultimate provider of safety for all passengers on board. This LCV comes fitted with an enhanced acceleration and pickup. Intra V30 has vacuum assisted hydraulic brakes, and also has the presence of parking brakes. The suspension duties are carried out by semi-elliptical leaf springs at the front and rear end, which makes it easy for the truck to navigate through uneven roads and potholes effortlessly. It also has the presence of seat belts for additional security of the passengers on board the truck.

This BS-VI compliant mini truck is Tata Motor’s prime player in the premium compact truck segment. The easy drivability of the truck, coupled with great features, is bound to make it a popular choice in the commercial vehicle industry.
