Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has recorded a 22% decline in sales for November 2019, with a sale of 10,175 units as opposed to 13,119 units that were sold in November 2018.
In terms of total light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales, the numbers dropped by 4% year-on-year with 4,209 units sold in November 2019, in contrast to 4,403 units sold in the same month the previous year. Domestically, a drop of 6% was recorded at 4,056 units, in comparison to 4,310 units sold in November 2018.
In the domestic medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) segment, the company incurred a decline of 36% at 5,321 units. This comes in stark contrast to November 2018, wherein the company recorded a sale of 8,260 units. Overall, the total medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales witnessed a decline of 32% at 5,966 units being sold.
For M&HCV trucks, the domestic sales slipped by 55% at 3,447 units, and the total M&HCV truck sales dipped down to 3,676 units, recording a drop of 54%.
